You must be 18 years old or older to have a rockfic.com membership. If you are discovered to be under 18, your account will be suspended. Any subscription fees you paid may be forfeited.
Also, Rockfic.com is now a subscription site. After you register, you will need to purchase a one-year or lifetime subscription to access all premium content--stories, reading lists, favorites lists, reviews, the ability to leave reviews, the ability to post your own stories etc. The only content you get free with your registration is our (fairly active) message board.
Chatspeak (u r 2 kewl!!!) is not allowed anywhere on the site. This includes message board posts, reviews, stories, and chat rooms. (Exceptions can be made for stories on a case-by-case basis. Contact an admin if you have such a story.)
Proper use of the shift key is highly encouraged everywhere on the site.
The role-playing chat room and the Inquiring Minds game have additional rules, posted separately on the site.
Reasons, aside from being underage, your account can be suspended:
- Use of chatspeak after being warned.

Trolling and/or excessive and unnecessary drama.

Sock puppet accounts. (It's all right to create an account to post your writing from and another account to do all your reviewing, message board posting, etc., from. What's not allowed is creating accounts to review your own stories, to play headgames with other memberships, or to have conversations with yourself on the message board, etc.)

Harassment of other members.

Plagiarism. (This includes posting Rockfic.com stories that you didn't write to other sites or sending them via email.)
You will receive no refund of any subscription fees paid if your account is suspended for any of the above.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit.
As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.

If you are planning to post stories on the site, be aware that Rockfic.com has minimum standards that all submitted stories must meet. New members are on probation; in other words, the first stories you post will be reviewed by an editor before being released to the site. These stories may be rejected completely, or the author may be asked to make some changes before a story will be released to the site. Once the author has demonstrated understanding of the minimum standards, the author will be taken off probation; posted stories will thereafter immediately be released to the site.
